NEW PODCAST! Kara Osborne, Wellness Witness

Woo-hoo!! We have a new podcast!! Gosh, I’ve really missed this.

Y’all know how much I love combining faith with fitness, right? And how much I love a program for weight loss or cooking light or moving your asana….you get the point.  I’m all about the new book, the fresh plan, the new year’s promise.  But then I find myself on this crazy train of up and down, lose and gain, just right, not enough, too much.  Maybe you have been there? Well our first guest addresses this and tells us how she came to the point where she said ENOUGH to all of that and now lives in freedom and wellness. I love her voice of encouragement!

I am so excited to introduce you to Kara Osborne, the founder of Wellness Witness.  Kara is a wife, mother, fitness instructor, counselor, cancer survivor, coach and prayer warrior.  She truly is a “Body on Mission”!

I met Kara at a retreat.  She was there with Revelation Wellness and I was there with Holy Yoga and we had the chance to pray together.  It was such a beautiful exchange.  Since then I have been following her on social media and loving all the stuff she puts out there.  She is gifted for sure.  I love her heart to encourage others and her enthusiasm and love for the Lord.  I also love her southern accent and authenticity. What a delight!

A Great Big THANKS goes out to Kara for REVving us up again for this new string of podcasts! (See what I did there?) #grateful

Waiting is a Verb

A wise friend told me the truth yesterday.

She said I might have to just wait.

Then she told me that “waiting” is a verb.

I asked God to show me what He means by waiting.  Actually, I asked Google to show me what God says about waiting.  Google and God gave me this.

colossians

I cried.

Yes! Yes! That’s what I want.  I want to stop gritting my teeth and experience the glory-strength of God.

I want my life…all of it…even the waiting…to spill over into joy. I want to experience everything bright and beautiful that God has for me.

Lord, help us to go easy in the waiting…remind us that waiting is “doing something” if we surrender it to you…remind me that surrender is not giving up.

My yoga teacher said the other day, “When you surrender, you join the winning team”.

Yes Lord. Victory is mine. Maybe not right this minute but it’s coming.

Thank you.
