Allison LaBianca is the International Missions Director for Holy Yoga. Currently, her home base is in Los Angeles but you will find her traveling around the world connecting with people of other cultures. Her heart is to experience the greatness of God by engaging in the diversity of all of God’s people, and offer avenues of healing to survivors of trauma.
Her desire is to see people awakened and free….awakened to their truest identity and free to move and breathe in the world unshackled.
She is currently developing curriculum to be used globally for those working with survivors of trauma who are looking to incorporate body based therapy into their programs. Allison teaches trauma informed classes in Los Angeles as well. Follow her on instagram @allisonlabianca to be updated about new offerings coming in 2017.
As you know, this blog and podcast is all about saying, “YES!”. And sometimes that requires saying “no” first. Often when God comes into our hearts, He shows us beliefs and habits that may no longer be serving us. We must say “no” to the strongholds in our life in order to make way for our “YES!” to the new thing God is doing in us and for us and with us. My brave friend, Danette, has done that. On the podcast she tells her story of addiction and recovery. She is real and brave and strong. This is a story of freedom. I know you will be encouraged and inspired.
Thank you for sharing your story Danette!
“There is a beautiful transparency to honest disciples who never wear a false face and do not pretend to be anything but who they are.” ― Brennan Manning
Today on the podcast, I’m talking to Brooke Boon. Brooke is the founder of Holy Yoga. Holy Yoga is an international ministry and is having it’s 10 year anniversary this fall! Holy Yoga exists to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth through the modality of yoga. I am a trained Holy Yoga teacher and I’ve gone through several of their training programs and they are amazing!
I’m excited to share our conversation with you! Brooke is a lover of the Word and she is a gifted Bible teacher. She is filled with a love of the Lord and a true understanding of grace borne of her own experience. Brooke is honest and authentic and her words inspire and encourage many! She is my friend and one of the people who has influenced my walk with the Lord greatly. I’m so grateful Brooke said YES! to her calling because her YES! directly impacted my life and journey with God.
