It’s not easy to share our most personal, difficult struggles. But that’s exactly what Tina Harris does here on the podcast. She opens up about her marriage and her husband’s addiction to pornography. Their story is one of faith and courage and hope and healing. She shares her story at women’s conferences and has written a book, “Peace Beyond the Tears: Hope after Sexual Betrayal”. You can order her book at http://tinarharris.weebly.com.
Tina is a fierce friend and dedicated prayer warrior. She is the mother of 6 beautiful daughters and has been married to her husband for 25 years! She is a Certified Christian Counselor and a Master Level Certified Yoga Therapist.
While this is not an easy topic, Tina hopes by sharing her story, other women will know they are not alone. We are so grateful to her for her willingness to share and to her husband for encouraging her to do so. God is the God of restoration and healing and we get to witness His power and grace through their story!
Tina’s favorite Scripture is Psalm 30:11 “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.”
If you have struggled in this area or you know someone who has, please encourage them to listen in. If not, we hope that this conversation will give you insight and understanding for those who are affected by pornography addiction.
Please pray for Tina as she and two daughters head out on March 4th for a mission trip in the Dominican Republic. You can find more information on her website listed above.
You guys!! I’m so grateful to Josh Phillips for sharing his story! Josh is married to Rachel Phillips who was on the last Great Big Yes podcast (#16) sharing her experience with anxiety. Josh tells us what it’s like to be married to a woman who suffers from anxiety, how it affects the relationship and how God has helped him learn and grow through their 16 years of marriage. Listen in! You don’t want to miss his side of the story!
Can we all just take a moment and thank the men in our lives who have loved us well?
He talks about what it’s like to not understand what your wife needs, to mess up and need to grow and learn. He is vulnerable and transparent about his experience. Share with the men in your life who may need this. If they love someone with anxiety, they are not alone and there is hope.
Josh is also an American Ninja Warrior! Woop! I shared a video on the last post and here are a couple more just for fun!
I’m excited to share my conversation with Morgan Day Cecil with you! We honestly felt like we could have talked for hours so I hope to have her back to the podcast. When you are talking about sex and romance and yoga and healthy sensuality and femininity and owning your power as a woman, there is way too much to fit into one conversation. I’d love to hear your feedback and what else you want me to ask her.
Morgan has a lot of really amazing things going on! Here is her bio and all the ways you can reach her! (Also, see that Great Big Yes banner up on top of the blog? She created it! 🙂 )
Morgan is a guide and woman’s advocate for sexual wellbeing and feminine wholeness. She and her husband are the founders of Romance & Adventure, where they offer online courses, workshops, retreats, education and inspiration on creating a life (and marriage) of true romance and meaningful adventure, through deeper connection, presence, passion and love.
