Day 27: TED TALKS

No, I don’t mean the teddy bear in the movie.  He does talk but that’s not what I mean.  Although my good friend just had dinner with Mark Wahlberg (No, I’m not kidding) and I was so excited and fired up my kids wondered what was wrong with me.  So they asked me, “Who is Mark Wahlberg?” and I kept saying, “He’s so famous. I love him. I love him!” But the only movie I could name off the top of my head was “Ted”.  I went straight to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch and I know Entourage was based on his story (and it’s awesome!) but as for his movies, I couldn’t name them off hand.  Weird. Sorry, off track…back to topic.

I love the TED talks.  Ted stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design.  The talks are very interesting and thought provoking.  I’m including one by Susan Cain here for you if you have time to watch.  When I first read her book, I wrote a blog post about it so I thought I’d include the link to that too if you watch her video and are inspired or moved in some way.  Maybe you see yourself in what she’s talking about, maybe you see your child or a friend.  It’s an important reminder that we are all valuable, unique, irreplaceable, beautiful beings.  We are all needed.

Here’s the link to the blog post I wrote back in February of 2012 about Susan Cain’s book. https://greatbigyes.com/?p=1336

I’m grateful for TED Talks and for people who make me think and question the status quo.
