My husband loves to quote movies. Thus, the title of this post. Can anyone tell me who said it? Or what movie it’s from? We get lots of advice from people, don’t we? Solicited, Unsolicited…it doesn’t matter, some people just like to advise. Let’s be honest, we have all been given some bad advice

The Coach
I was walking yesterday and listening to a podcast about all of us being in training and God being the coach. It got me thinking about working out and eating and the vicious defeating cycle that we call “health” in America. Gluten free, no carb, low fat, low calorie, starvation, shakes, programs, points, packaged meals,

I Am Woman Hear Me Preach
This article inspired me today. Check it out. http://sarahbessey.com/why-not-have-a-woman-preach/ In this article Sarah Bessey is asking the question, “Why not have a woman preach?” I remember when I was younger my mom read me a book. It was one of those golden books and it had a sweet girl on the front I think. I can’t

Go Placidly Amid the Noise and Haste
Many people ask me what kind of yoga I teach. They know it’s Holy Yoga and the intention is connecting with Jesus but what about the physical part? Isn’t that like us? I do it too…there is this, “Yah, Yah but what kind of a work out am I getting?” We are more interested in

Actually, hilarity calls for doubled over, can’t breathe, snot

“If you are a dreamer come in If you are a dreamer a wisher a liar A hoper a pray-er a magic-bean-buyer If you’re a pretender com sit by my fire For we have some flax golden tales to spin Come in! Come in!” ― Shel Silverstein I have always loved this poem. To me,

Receive
I love Warrior 2 pose. In Holy Yoga, we encourage people to turn their palms up in order to receive God’s blessings. We can’t receive with a closed hand. We can’t soften with a clenched fist. Warriors in Holy Yoga are strong and soft. We have thick skin and soft hearts. We stand strong
