The Nativity today?

How wonderful that God sent His Son to us.  How fitting that he was sent as a tender, vulnerable baby…not a king, not a rabbi, there was no fanfare, no fancy celebration.

What would it be like if the Nativity was happening in 2010? How would God send his Son?

Would he twitter about it first to create buzz?
Would he put it on Facebook?
Would we road trip to see him?
Would we use our Navigation systems to find Him?
Would we just enter in an address and not even look up to see a star?
Would there be a crowd?
Would He need security?
Would the Paparrazi be there?
Would someone try to steal Him?
Would we watch Him on the news?
What would the press have said about Mary?
Would Joseph have run away under all the scrutiny and criticism?
How much doubt and mocking would we hear in the voice of the people of the press?  Would it make us doubt our own faith?
Would we be strong enough to believe?
Would we be too busy to care?
Who would be the wise men in the story?
What part would you play in the story?

I thank God for His Gift, His Son Jesus, who brings peace , love and joy.
So glad I meet the Saviour, and find Him always in the stillness.
This blog is very thought provoking, an amazing point of view.
