New Podcast: Caroline Williams Yoga

I’m excited for you to listen to this podcast and meet Caroline!

Caroline Williams has a You Tube Channel, Caroline Williams Yoga and she is active on instagram @carolinewyoga and Facebook @CarolineWilliamsYoga. She also has a blog, https://www.carolinewilliamsyoga.comMany of you already follow her I’m sure!

She recently ran a Kickstarter campaign and surpassed her fund raising goal! She will be filming videos for a series called “Foundations in Yoga: A Jesus Centered Approach”,  that will be released in September of this year.  We can’t wait!

Caroline and her husband have been living in New York City!  I love this and I told her it feels really glamorous and special to me to live in NYC. She told me all their stuff is actually all packed up in storage as they are planning a trip.  She took time to chat with me before she and her husband head to Europe and travel around for months, exploring and living out a lifelong dream.

Caroline and I talk about a lot of things, including our husbands, faith, yoga, Jesus, making dreams come true, staying the course when things don’t turn out the way you planned, and trusting God. We ponder the question, “Can Christians do yoga?” I think you can guess our answer to that question!

I love talking to people about the things God is calling them into in their lives.  I also really love learning about how they bring their dreams to life.  What does the day to day look like? How did they start? What if they get discouraged? We touch on all of that in this podcast. Like all good conversations, we laugh a little, I cry a little (no surprise) and I say YES! a lot! (Again, no surprise)

Enjoy! And then head over to You Tube and practice some yoga with Caroline!

New Podcast! Susan Shull, A Vintage Farmwife

I can’t wait for you to meet my friend, Susan Shull!

She is so much fun and encourages and inspires me! She is married to a farmer and her daddy was a farmer and her son is a farmer and it’s generation after generation! I just love seeing her pictures and hearing her stories.  I have a special place in my heart for farmers because I grew up in DeKalb, Illinois in the middle of farmland.  She is in Illinois too so we are kindred spirits. (Mom…you will love this one with all the farm talk (: )

She is a loving wife and mother and grandmother. She loves her three sons and her two beautiful daughters-in-law! She has 5 granddaughters and is so grateful that her family has gone from one girl (her) to 8!

She was an 8th grade language arts teacher for years and now she is creating a life she loves by following her passions and believing that God is always inviting her into MORE. She has so much joy and gratitude – I love talking to her! Listen in to find out how we met and her top 5 pieces of advice.

Susan and her friend have started a non-profit ministry called The Push Ahead. The Push Ahead is a nonprofit ministry for women in our county. It is a mentoring program with the following goals:

To provide an environment where women can find friendship, inspiration and education.
To create a community where all women are encouraged to discover their unique gifts and purposes.
To become passionate women of purpose with strong faith, living an abundant life.
To celebrate and enhance the quality of life in our community.

For more from Susan, check her out on her website at www.avintagefarmwife.com and on instagram @avintagefarmwife. You will love her!

As promised, here are some notes from our conversation:

Here is the quote she read on the podcast:

If I were your enemy, I’d devalue your strength and magnify your insecurities until they dominate how you see yourself, disabling and disarming you from fighting back, from being free, from being who God has created you to be.  I’d work hard to ensure that you never realize what God has given you so you’ll doubt the power of God within you.

– Priscilla Shirer, Fervent

The book she mentioned she just finished reading is:  “Abba’s Child” by Brennan Manning

Happy New Year! New Podcast with my friend, Chidimma, theTYPEAhippie

Happy New Year!!!

I am so excited for 2017! I hope you are too! I challenge you to think about your “YES”. What is it? My friend asks, “What gets you up in the morning?” and my answer to that is God and “Thank you God!” but what I want to ask is, “Are you living a life you love?”.  If not, why not?  Can you spend some time in prayer and ask the Lord, “What more do you have for me Lord?” and think about your gifts and your passions and what makes you feel alive and awakened.  God has a special plan for you.  A “calling” that is unique to you with your experiences, your desires, your talents, your resources, your connections…YOU and only you can fulfill this particular calling. Some of us may be thinking, “Who, me?” YES, YOU!! My hope and prayer is that we can all live lives we love.  That we can all celebrate and say thank you together for a world (including us) that is awakened to the possibilities of all of us living lives of passion and purpose. YES? AMEN?

no-sleepwalking

“But friends, you’re not in the dark, so how could you be taken off guard by any of this? You’re sons of Light, daughters of Day. We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. So let’s not sleepwalk through life like those others.” – Thessalonians 5:4-5

It’s Tuesday so here is our first podcast of the year!

I’m speaking with my friend, Chidimma Ozor, about all the amazing work she is doing.  She is a yoga teacher, essential oils enthusiast, blogger, podcaster, and all around cool chick. She and I talk about everything and this podcast is kind of funny because we started recording after we had been talking for awhile.  You will feel like you are entering into the middle of a conversation and we are all over the map! I hope you enjoy.  My desire is to have these podcasts feel like you are a fly on the wall, listening into conversations between friends who are sharing their dreams and desires and celebrating how God is working in their lives. Here are all the ways to keep in touch with Chi and what she has going on:
